“In the end, Marnie will fight for her kids!”

- Sarah Ellis

Drug boss Jordan threatens to do some serious harm to Marnie this week, if Juliet doesn’t stop her stepmother’s snooping!

Following Juliet’s little trip to the seaside, in which she and Sid were forced to sell drugs in a trap house, Marnie has found a huge amount of money hidden in the teen’s bag. But when she confronts Juliet about where the cash came from, Marnie doesn’t know that she’s inadvertently putting herself in danger too…

“It’s not just that Juliet’s doing something so dangerous that’s worrying, it’s the fact she’s being so deceitful,” says Lysette Anthony, who plays Marnie. “But the tragedy of it is that Juliet is only doing this because she wants to protect Marnie and her family.”

Having discovered Juliet’s loot, it’s no shock that Marnie and James are desperate for answers. And when Juliet refuses to fess up, her guardians conclude that it has something to do with her troublesome boyfriend, Sid!

“Marnie has always been furious about Juliet seeing Sid,” shares Lysette. “Juliet’s getting spikier and spikier, and Marnie knows something is up – but she just thinks it’s normal teenage behaviour.”

As Marnie and James drag Juliet to the Lomax house, to lay the blame firmly at Sid’s door, little do they realise that Jordan is keeping his eye on the situation. And as he later gets Juliet alone, he issues her with a chilling warning – either she shuts down Marnie’s meddling, or he will!

But Lysette says Jordan shouldn’t underestimate Marnie’s love for Juliet, and hints that her character will go to any lengths necessary to protect the teenager.

“Ballistic doesn’t even begin to cover it!” she chuckles, as we ask how Marnie would react if she found out the truth. “Marnie will feel very frightened and very angry. But in the end, there is always love – Marnie will fight for her kids.

“Juliet thinks she’s grown up and is protecting Marnie,” adds Lysette. “But what she needs to do is talk to Marnie about what’s going on – sadly, Juliet hasn’t learnt to do that yet…”
