Jean begs Phil to spare Stacey
WILL HE AGREE TO LET HER RETURN TO WALFORD?
Desperate Jean makes it her mission to get Phil Mitchell on side this week – in a bid to bring home Stacey.
Having thrown out Kush, Mo and the rest of the family after discovering they were spiking her food with medication, Jean needs Stacey back more than ever before. But until Phil agrees he won’t punish Stacey for almost killing him, Jean knows it won’t be safe for her daughter to return. So, against Shirley’s advice, Jean pays the Mitchell hard man a visit to pleas for mercy.
“Jean isn’t thinking straight because if she were, she’d realise this is a terrible idea,” warns our Walford spy. “She’s not a well woman right now, and that’s evident when she gets all glammed up to go over to Phil’s to ask him to forget what Stacey did. Jean could wreck any hope of Phil letting this go.”
As Jean fixates on the Stacey problem, Kush and Mo are desperately trying to convince her to let them come home. Kush manages to get the Panesars – their landlords – to help them gain access to the house, but his invasion makes Jean even more furious. She demands that they go, but Mo makes a worrying discovery before they do – and it’s enough to make her terrified that Jean is in real danger. For Kush, it’s a nightmare come true because he has broken Jean’s trust, and he can’t reach her now when she needs him the most. But
Jean is hell-bent on banishing everyone except Stacey.
“Kush is getting pressure from both Mo and Shirley – they want him to do something to save Jean from herself,” explains our insider. “The problem is that they aren’t dealing with somebody who is thinking rationally. It’s Shirley who suggests that it’s time to speak to Stacey. Kush reluctantly makes the call, although it’s not something he does lightly. He knows that Stacey is in danger from Phil, and that returning to Walford could cost her dearly. He doesn’t want to put her in that position, but Kush promised he’d take care of everyone in Kat’s absence. Will he be able to step up and prove it?
