Dylan saves Faith!
WILL SHE FINALLY REALISE THAT HE HAS FALLEN FOR HER?
“Dylan pulls Faith away from the gunman…”
Dylan bravely takes a bullet for Faith this week, after they’re held hostage in resus by a crazed gunman! When the ED is stormed by an armed thug, Faith and Dylan attempt to get the upper hand. Yet, as their plan goes awry, Dylan takes action – just as the gun goes off – and gets shot. “Faith decides to syringe the man,” explains Kirsty Mitchell, who plays her. “She tries to catch him unaware, but Dylan pulls her away. In my mind, the gunman didn’t mean to shoot – the gun goes off by mistake.” The ex-jailbird assailant is determined to kidnap his young and critically injured son at any costs. Luckily, Dylan’s wound isn’t lifethreatening, yet Faith is still completely taken aback by his actions. If he hadn’t pulled Faith away, there may have been dire consequences for her… “Faith didn’t believe this man was going to shoot anybody, or even fire the gun,” reveals Kirsty. “And I don’t think Dylan would have acted the way he did for just any colleague – I reckon he would have been more practical rather than emotional with other people.” After the hostage situation is defused by police, Faith leads Dylan to a cubicle where he’s treated by David. However, after being given some morphine, the looselipped doctor spills his feelings to Faith – but doesn’t get the reaction he’s hoping for. “Faith can’t even talk about it,” sighs Kirsty. “Whether she feels anything for him or not, Faith’s married and she has a child who needs her. It’s a bombshell for her and she feels terrible for Dylan – Faith just wants to reach out and cuddle him. Dylan’s so on-and-off emotionally – however, you can see that they both really care about each other.” Dylan’s confession is quickly interrupted by Faith’s husband
Lev, who is relieved to see his wife safe and sound. Kirsty reminds us just how difficult Faith’s situation is as her and Lev’s young son, Luka, is battling a brain tumour. “At the moment, Faith can’t see beyond her little boy,” shares Kirsty. “She has a child who could potentially die and is going through treatment, so, as a mum, her focus is not on herself. Faith just wants to look after her family. “I think Faith does have a connection with Dylan, she finds his strange ways funny and that’s where her head is at the moment,” she adds. “So when he tells her how he feels, it’s overwhelming, and it’s pushed to the back of her mind because to her, it’s not a possibility.” Now that Dylan has revealed how he feels, will Faith come to reciprocate his emotions? Or is Dylan headed for heartbreak?
