“Sally’s doubts cause problems for Geoff…”
Wicked Geoff returns to the scene of the crime this week, and promptly gets rid of the incriminating camera footage that proves he abused Yasmeen. But while he may have covered up one of his secrets, another is soon revealed – and it makes his one-time ally Sally see her father-in-law in a new light…
As his estranged wife remains in jail, the week begins with Geoff winning a victory against Alya when she’s forced to hand back the keys to No 6. And he’s desperate to get his hands on the material that could blow his case apart.
“Geoff doesn’t want anything to contradict his side of the story,” admits Ian Bartholomew, who plays the Corrie villain. “Any CCTV footage, incriminating or not, has to go. Then, it’s his word
“Geoff thinks he’s covered his tracks, but time will tell”
against Yasmeen’s. He’d like to think he’s covered his tracks, but time will tell…”
However, as Geoff is wiping the footage from his laptop, son Tim disturbs him. His shady behaviour raises eyebrows, yet it’s a new revelation that’s about to change Tim and Sally’s view of him altogether.
Solicitor Imran has noticed frequent trips to a hotel bar on Geoff’s bank statements, which Yasmeen later confirms are bills from when he used escorts. Alya is sickened to think Geoff did this to her gran, but is glad that some favourable evidence has come to light – and it’s not long before she’s telling horrified Sally and Tim.
“Publicly, Geoff is ashamed and contrite about having used escorts,” reveals Ian.
