Sharon Mitchell is poised to watch Karen take her baby son out of her life forever this week – will she find the strength to stop them? As agreed, Karen is planning to move out of Walford and bring Kayden up far from his grieving mother – and the day has come for her to leave. For Karen, it’s a massive upheaval, and now she faces bringing up son Keanu’s love child without either of Kayden’s parents to help her. But instead of being furious, Karen has nothing but compassion for Sharon – and offers her the chance to say an emotional goodbye. “Karen has hated Sharon at times, although never for this,” explains our Walford insider. “Nobody should have to bear the pain that Sharon is going through right now. One son is dead, and she’s about to lose the other one too. All Karen wants is for them all to find some peace and happiness.” Elsewhere, Sharon is doing her best to move on after reconciling with husband Phil and planning to buy the Vic. However, her loved ones are concerned when she makes an out-of-character offer to Billy’s son Will. Sharon tells Will to help himself to any of Dennis’ things, a move that worries Billy and Lola, because it seems far too hasty. Billy isn’t known for being the wisest man in Walford, but he can’t stop himself from giving Sharon a reality check about what she’s about to do with Kayden. His words hit Sharon hard, and her conflicted feelings look set to overwhelm her as she goes to say goodbye to her son. “There’s no going back if Sharon lets Karen and Kayden leave,” warns our source. “If circumstances had been different, it would have been Sharon, Dennis and Kayden who’d be starting a new together away from Walford. She can’t bring Dennis back, but she could get another chance with Kayden. All Sharon has to do is say the word – but she has to find the courage to say it…” It’s evident that Phil would be happier if Kayden and Karen were to leave Walford – although will his doubts be enough to stop Sharon from reclaiming her son?
