Explains why Abi’s complex emotions could be her undoing…

Hi, Sally! Why did Abi decide not to see the twins before the move to Australia?

Abi doesn’t want to say goodbye again. She did it before and didn’t get over that for a long time – it was really, really difficult. Abi does want to see the twins, but she just knows it is going to open up all the wounds. She feels that they said goodbye, and do they need the upheaval of seeing her again? However, it is mainly self-preservation, she doesn’t think she can go through it again.

Will Abi and Kev go the distance as a couple?

Their relationship can’t last, in my opinion. The lack of excitement could be an issue – Kevin has bitten off more than he can chew with Abi. There is also an age gap, which is exacerbated by the fact that she has never really grown up.

Kevin’s at the point where he wants to have a quieter life, and Abi isn’t going to bring that!

Do you think that you could be friends with Abi if you knew her in real-life?

Absolutely not, she’s too much like hard work! To be her friend would take a big commitment, due to the kind of person she is. I’d want to do it properly and that would be all-consuming and to the detriment of other parts of my life.

What’s your favourite thing about her?

You never quite know where Abi is going to be, or what she will do next! She seems sorted one minute and being funny and comedic, then she’s devastated the next. She is really flawed, but she hasn’t got a bad bone in her body. That all gives us so much scope for storylines!
