THINGS GO FROM BAD TO WORSE FOR THE TATES, WHILE THE DINGLES HIT THE ROAD…

-

You have to admire Kim Tate, she has properly stitched Frank up like a kipper. As his terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad year continues, Frank now finds himself beaten black and blue by jealous fellow prisoners at HMP Hotton, where he’s on remand for the entirely fictitious murder of Kim. If you listen carefully, you might just hear the low ripple of her laughter on the spring breeze. Visiting Zoe tends to her dad’s wounds, but – as she trained as a vet – can only prescribe three walks a day and one of those plastic cones to stop him licking his bits. Meanwhile, Kim causes yet more mischief for the family from ‘beyond’ the grave when her will is read, and she has left the Home Farm stables – which Chris thinks he’s already bought from Kim for a small fortune – to Zoe. This leaves Chris sinking under the better part of half-a-million pounds of debt; a fact brought home to Rachel when the bailiffs raid Mill Cottage and cart away all of her most precious knickknacks. Later, Rachel spots her new squeeze Steve apparently chatting up Zoe in the wine bar, and tips a glass of Merlot over his head. We hope he’s sensible enough to pour some white wine over himself straight afterwards, to avoid a stain.

WHEELS OFF THE BUS

Brace yourself for more Dingle hi-jinks this week, when the ragamuffin clan, still recovering from the Munchbox fiasco, start running a bus company – using an old charabanc that’s seemingly been dragged from a swamp. However, their plan to make their fortune is stymied first by the pensioners of Emmerdale insisting on using their bus passes, then by the wheels falling off the whole sorry enterprise. Yes, in a literal sense.
