Geoff pushes Alya to breaking point – and she finally explodes!
GEOFF PUSHES HER OVER THE EDGE – WITH SHOCKING RESULTS…
Furious Alya smashes up Speed Daal this week, after Geoff’s goading sees the normally cool, calm and collected woman erupt in an explosive rage… Alya is disgusted when Geoff returns to his job at the restaurant and informs her that he’s not leaving. Unable to cope with his vicious attempts to destroy her, Alya goes into a frenzy of destruction. “Alya is so angry!” confirms Sair Khan, who plays her. “Her wish was to look after Speed Daal and her gran’s house at No.6 until Yasmeen is freed from prison. Frustratingly, she’s already lost her fight to keep Geoff out of her family home, so the business is all the Nazirs have. I think the outburst is more than just stress – what Alya’s going through is a very real fight to find justice and keep her family alive. The emotions have been bubbling away under the surface, but this pushes Alya to breaking point.” When Geoff turns up at the beginning of the week to start his shift, Alya can’t believe her eyes. But he points out that he’s legally allowed to work there as the business belongs to him too. However, Geoff isn’t finished there, and soon announces he’s applied for an alcohol licence and offers to buy Alya out of the business. “Geoff knows that Zeedan started the business from scratch and didn’t want to sell alcohol, which is precisely why he’s doing this,” reveals Sair. “He’s trying to wind Alya up. As soon as one problem is sorted, another one rears its ugly head.” Geoff’s next move is to cancel the staff to scupper Alya’s busy shift. With takeaway orders piling up and no help,

Alya loses it and throws everyone out. Consumed by hatred and fury, she begins to trash the empty restaurant until Geoff and Tim arrive. Tim’s genuinely shocked to see Alya in such a terrible state, and when horrified Ryan arrives, things unravel further. He explains to Tim that his
father has been undermining Alya for months, and it seems as though Geoff’s blinkered son is finally seeing the light. Meanwhile, Sair warns that Alya should be careful because Geoff isn’t done with her yet. “Elaine’s revelations have undoubtedly scared Alya, and she doesn’t know what else Geoff’s capable of, but despite this, she can’t always stop herself from biting back at him,” admits the star. “This might be hard to believe, but I don’t think Alya enjoys taunting Geoff – he just has this incredible gift of making her blood boil!”
