Adam pays off Nicky, after he discovers Daniel’s secret…
HE TAKES ACTION AFTER DISCOVERING DANIEL’S SECRET…
Adam is shocked when Daniel reveals his relationship with Nicky this week, and decides to put a stop to it – by offering her money to steer clear of Daniel. A row with a client over payment sees Nicky get arrested, and Adam become involved in the situation when Daniel calls in at the office and begs him to go to the police station to represent his ‘friend’… “By the time Adam gets to the station, Nicky’s already been let go,” says Kimberly Hart-simpson, who plays her. “The client decides not to press charges, so she gets released, by which point Daniel’s decided to send Adam to be her saving grace – which makes Adam suspicious.” After Adam reports back that the police have released Nicky, Daniel phones her and invites her to come over to the flat, just as friends. “Nicky goes round, and tells Daniel to stay out of her life,” exclaims Kimberly. “I don’t think she wants it to be the last time she sees Daniel, yet she needs it to be. But then he tells her he sent Adam to help her – and she didn’t realise that.” The conversation ends with the pair agreeing a new path for their relationship. “Nicky wants Daniel to break past that boundary of pretending that she’s Sinead, because she knows it’s not healthy,” sighs Kimberly. “She wants to help him, without charging – and it’s nice for

her to have a genuine friend who doesn’t want sex from her. It’s always been about grief – Daniel’s genuine, he’s kind, and those sorts of people are few and far between. He wants to help her in life and is sincere, and she’s not had that for a long time either.” Afterwards, Daniel admits the truth to Adam about him and Nicky and explains they have now agreed to be just friends. But Adam is uneasy with the situation, and takes action, confronting Nicky. “Nicky doesn’t see what the issue is, and as far as she’s concerned, it has nothing to do with Adam anyway,” explains Kimberly. “They’ve come up with a solution that works for both of them, and it’s none of Adam’s business. People judge Nicky all the time and expect her to behave in a certain way. But she’s sick of being judged, and for the first time in a long time, she likes someone – whether that’s more than friendship, we don’t know…” However, when Adam offers her cold, hard cash to stay away from Daniel once and for all, will Nicky be persuaded to take the money and run?
