Is Carla avoiding Peter?
IS SHE TRYING TO AVOID PETER?
Peter gets suspicious of Carla this week, when he calls in on her at work, only to find that she’s vanished! What could she be up to? With their relationship on the rocks after Peter had a relapse and was taken to hospital, the pair have been at odds. But this week Peter decides to try to make it up to Carla – yet when he heads to the factory with lunch for her, she’s gone… “Peter’s immediately concerned as to where Carla is,” explains our cobbles spy. “He’s attempting to make things up to her by a romantic gesture and dropping in on Carla at the factory – but Sarah reveals she’s gone out. After all their troubles beforehand, and knowing that he upset her by relapsing, Peter fears their relationship might not be as strong as he thought.” While Peter believes that Carla is attempting to avoid him, what he doesn’t know is that Carla is doing her best to support Jenny and Johnny. When Jenny fills Carla in on Johnny’s crimes, Carla quickly goes to see Johnny. As Carla visits her dad, the pair bond over their pasts, and she does her best to assure him they’ve both done things they regret. And later on, Carla finds Jenny in tears when she reveals that Margaret could be telling the police all about Johnny’s crimes as they speak. “There’s a lot on Carla’s plate at the moment,” sighs our sneak. “She thought her relationship with Peter was as strong as ever, but his recent relapse proved otherwise. And now she’s found out that her dad is a criminal, and might be carted off to prison!” Will Carla find the courage to confide in Peter? Or will the pair continue to be at odds?
