All Denise wants for Christmas this year is to make up for lost time with her son Raymond – but a blast from the past is set to turn her world upside down… “It’s no secret that serial killer Lucas Johnson is on his way back to Walford,” whispers our Albert Square insider. “Is he going to inflict more tears and tragedy on poor Denise? And how will Raymond’s father and the Square’s top dog, Phil, react to her psycho ex-husband being back in the picture?”
Mistletoe and mayhem!
Across the Square, new love blossoms for an unlikely pairing, while another couple is put to the test when the festive period stirs up old feelings. Meanwhile, Ben finds himself in an unexpected situation… “We’ll see Ben involved in another big issue on the Square with people close to him, which he doesn’t foresee happening,” teases Max Bowden, who plays the Mitchell hard man. “Put it this way, it doesn’t make life any easier!”
Violence and passion
Finally, two cracking plots will take centre stage as Linda battles the temptation to cheat on Mick with Max (see p22), while the perpetrator of a brutal attack on Ian (over on p8) attempts to cover their tracks. One thing’s for sure, Christmas in Walford this year is shaping up to be one Yuletide the locals won’t forget in a hurry…
“Oh, it’s must-watch, I promise you – EastEnders hasn’t pulled back this year because of Covid,” insists actress Emma Barton, who plays Honey. “It’s as big as ever, and I honestly think this Christmas is up there with the best of them…”
