Leanne & Steve’s sad goodbye, as they remember Oliver…

LEANNE AND STEVE SAY THEIR GOODBYES...

Following Oliver’s tragic death, his family plans a memorial this week – but with Steve further withdrawing into himself, will he make it to the ceremony?

In the wake of the boy’s passing, Leanne is throwing herself into making funeral arrangements. When Tracy learns that Leanne is sorting everything, she worries that Steve isn’t getting involved…

Steve and Leanne are trying to cope in very different ways.”

And it’s not just Steve having a crisis, as Nick has a grand gesture for Leanne while he tries to mend their torn relationship.

“Leanne tells Nick that, after the funeral, they must work out the details of their separation,” reveals our snitch. “Nick is obviously feeling down after that, so he presents Leanne with a special memory box filled with Oliver’s keepsakes. She’s clearly touched, but will it be enough to win her back?”

Later, the residents gather in Victoria Gardens as the service starts – with no sign of Steve. He’s gone to visit Oliver’s old hospital room, and what he sees gives him a reality check.

“In the bed is another very ill child,” sighs our sneak. “Steve realises that there are so many parents in his position, and that what he needs to do is support Leanne and to say goodbye to his son.”

As the memorial draws to a close, Leanne is left with a big decision to make about her future with Nick.
