Harriet’s dead worried: someone wants to dig up Malone’s grave!

SOMEONE WANTS TO DIG UP THE GRAVE MALONE IS BURIED IN…

- Alice Penwill

Harriet desperately tries to halt the digging up of Malone’s body this week, but will she be able to stop the exhumation of his grave before he’s discovered?

Harriet believes that the secret of Malone’s murder is safe, so she’s left utterly shocked when she spots a woman standing at the grave where Malone is buried as she heads to work. Harriet’s anxieties about this mystery woman begin to grow, and it’s not long before the pair of them come face to face…

“The woman from the graveyard, whose name is Jean, interrupts Harriet’s prayer in the church,” reveals our Emmerdale spy. “Jean explains to Harriet that she’s the daughter of the man in the grave – the guy who’s buried beneath Malone! At that point, Harriet relaxes, believing that Jean is just there paying her respects to her late father. However, Jean then explains to Harriet that she has put plans in motion to exhume her dead dad’s body! Harriet is absolutely horrified, as digging up the grave would obviously mean the grisly discovery of Malone’s body as well!”

Harriet quickly takes action in an effort to keep the grave untouched, and calls up the bishop in order to stop the body from being exhumed. However, it’s not an easy fix, and the bishop decides that she’s going to pay a visit to Harriet in person to discuss the important matter.

While she waits for the bishop’s arrival, Harriet can’t help but let her worries take over, and fears that Malone’s body is going to be discovered sooner rather than later…

“If the bishop decides to go ahead with the exhumation, then there’s not much Harriet can do to stop it!” exclaims our mole. “The only thing Harriet could try is to move Malone’s body out of the grave before the exhumation takes place – but then, where would she move him to? There’s only a limited amount of time until the grave is dug up, so Harriet really will be up against it if she wants to stop Malone from being discovered. And if someone spots her, the game would definitely be up.”

The perturbed vicar desperately tries to think of ways to save herself, and decides to inform Will about what’s going on. As soon as Harriet fills him in, Will starts to panic too, and tells her that something has to be done – and fast!

“Will is equally as involved as Harriet and Dawn at this point,” signs our sneak. “If Malone is found, then Will’s just as much in the firing line as the others – perhaps even more so, as he was a major suspect in his disappearance in the first place. Even though Harriet and Will aren’t on good terms at the moment, the pair of them know that they need to put their personal issues aside to protect each other from Malone being found.”

Can Will and Harriet sort a plan to stop the exhumation? Or will they have to find another way to prevent their secret from being dug up?

If an exhumation goes ahead, Harriet can’t do much to stop it!”
