INSIDE SCOOP

- Sarah Ellis

WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED! But while Ray believes he’s sealed the deal, there’s still plenty of fight left in the locals. Abi rallies her comrades, and the protestors arrive on the cobbles atop a float, using a loudhailer to spread the word about Ray’s evil deeds. Do they have any hope of turning the tables at this late stage?

“Kevin isn’t scared of Ray, he’s happy to stand up to him,” says Michael. “What scares him more than

Ray himself is the way Abi reacts to Ray, because she’s seeking revenge. He is concerned for Abi because she can’t control herself, and puts herself in dangerous situations. But that’s also what Kevin loves about her – being the feisty character that she is! Abi has brought nothing but misery to Kevin’s life, and yet he still sticks with her.”

Abi soon finds herself in hot water after Ray calls the police, and Craig arrives to break up the protest. As chaos ensues, Abi’s anger gets the better of her – and she throws the loudhailer, which hits Craig in the face! Will Abi end the week in a police cell?

OUT ON THE STREET!

There’s more misery to come as David finds out that Ray has changed the locks to No 8 – and that his family’s new home is on the run-down council estate Shona used to live on… Meanwhile, Sally’s grand plans come crashing down when she finds out that her new house in Hale Barns is on hold – making her, Tim and Faye homeless!

With the Street resident more focussed on trying to put a roof over their heads than with halting Ray’s plans, is the fate of the cobbles well and truly sealed?
