SUNSHINE &MURDER!
THERE ARE MORE CASES TO SOLVE AS RALF LITTLE MAKES A WELCOME RETURN TO THE CARIBBEAN…
What better start to a new year than a trip back to the beautiful (yet deadly) island of Saint Marie? Sand, sun – and a murder or two…
“As soon as I finished the last series, I couldn’t wait to get back out here and film some more,” grins Ralf Little, aka Detective Neville Parker, who’s joining Inside TV on a video call from picturesque Guadeloupe. “It’s just been a real joy, and who wouldn’t want to come out here and lead a show in the Caribbean that’s loved by the public? I’m supposed to be saying to my family and friends that I can’t wait to come home, but that’d be a massive lie!” It’s been 10 years since Death In Paradise made its telly debut, and the producers have a host of celebratory treats in store, including the return of familiar faces such as DI Richard Poole (Ben Miller) – who was killed-off in season three – DS Camille Bordey (Sara Martins) and DS Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert)…
“Florence is a great ally to Neville,” teases Ralf. “Even Camille helps him out a little when she comes back, though she lands more on the side of the commissioner, in that Neville’s a bit annoying. Florence has more patience with him, and Neville’s challenges are real – he’s not a hypochondriac!”
Neville has endured a hard time adjusting to island life, but as Ralf heads into his second run in the role, he insists that his alter ego is trying to get more involved. And Neville’s not the only one taking on a new task, since his colleague
JP is rising to the challenge of impending fatherhood! JP’s wife Rosie is pregnant with twins – and she’s played by Tobi Bakare’s real-life spouse, Prisca…
“It’s quite scary working with your wife!” admits Tobi. “You feel exposed, and I wanted to explain to everyone that this isn’t how we are in real life. But Prisca is an amazing actress and deserves it, so it was nice to get her

out for filming. It was almost like a new job for me, and it was quite emotional.”
Despite the challenges they faced, executive producer Tim Key couldn’t be prouder of the work the actors and crew put in to make this series better than ever.
“The tenth year is a huge milestone for all of us,” he cheers. “What you’re going to get from this series is a mixture of our greatest hits and what you’d expect from the show. Yes, we’ve got some familiar faces returning, but we’re also looking to the future, with Tahj Miles joining the team to play trainee Marlon. So we’ve got things you’d expect, and some you won’t…”
