Michael demands a paternity test from his pregnant ex Grace this week, and discovers he is indeed going to be a dad!
After finding out that Tianna wasn’t his child, Michael did his best to avoid Grace and tried to draw a line under the whole sorry business. So when his former love told him that she’d fallen pregnant during their time together, his first instinct was to believe that it was yet another cruel trick…
“Michael is determined not to be played for a fool again, which is why he asks for a paternity test,” explains our Corrie spy. “Grace appears to be genuinely remorseful for leading Michael and his family to believe that Tianna was their flesh and blood. For her, it was a lie that spun out of control. This time around, she’s happy to prove Michael is the dad.”
There’s an anxious wait for Michael, but the results come back confirming that he is the father of Grace’s baby. Then, knowing that Grace is at the hospital attending her 20-week scan, Michael races over there – where he sees his unborn child for the first time…
“Michael is completely overwhelmed at the scan,” reveals our sneak. “Being a father is something he’s wanted for a long time, so to know that it’s about to come true is an amazing feeling. However, after Michael pledges his support to Grace, Aggie is furious! She thinks that her son is making a big mistake.”
Aggie tells Michael her fear that Grace is manipulating him again, so he tries to placate her by producing the test result. However, Aggie remains unconvinced, and urges him to apply for sole custody, as Grace has shown that she can’t be trusted with a child.
“Aggie’s suggestion puts Michael in a very precarious position,” shares our mole.
“If Michael uses Grace’s past against her then, yes, it’s possible he could get custody. But it’s a question of whether he wants to fight dirty, or try to make things work. Either way,
Michael’s decision will upset someone…”
In the end, Michael chooses to co-parent – but can Grace convince Aggie she can be trusted?
