Inside Soap

BULLSEYE!

-

We really, really like Emmerdale’s Dawn now. We might not have known it at the height of all the Malone nonsense, but his murder cover-up has been the absolute making of her. And we’re really rooting for Dawn and Jamie. Their chemistry is proper Romeo & Juliet, true-love-thwartedat-every-turn stuff… Plus, he’s much less of a complete and utter tool when she’s around.

It’s taken Peter’s non-functioning liver and Johnny going blind in prison for Carla and Jenny to finally find something in common for a fleeting nanosecond. Hooray for sisterhood!

Look how pleased young Abi was to enjoy a moment’s peace from Max and Rainie. She’d stand a better chance in life if they walked off in opposite directions and left her on the pavement.

The soaps have a duty to educate as well as entertain – and Jamie’s chin nappy is a shining example of how not to wear your face mask. Take note, kids!

We’ve decided that Daisy is the modern-day Tanya Pooley, aka 1993’s version of a ‘proper bi-atch’. Trust us – it’s a compliment!

The more we ponder this Tina

plot, the more we think Gray

has her tied up in a basement somewhere – à la Phelan and Andy from Corrie.

It wouldn’t be the first time a departing actor has fibbed for the greater good of drama!

The biggest mystery in Corrie this week: Why is Gary still in prison on remand when Faye is out on bail for the same crime? We’d ask Gary, but he seems quite happy where he is!

We’ve had to listen to Charity’s family label her a “car crash” all week. By Emmerdale standards, that’s a bit harsh… well, accurate.

As Gail turned out to be the mystery buyer tinkering behind the door of No 8, a nation roared as one: “UP YOURS, TRACY!”

This week we learned that £138,000 is the going price for a three-bed one-time murder scene with a granny annexe and a sinkhole in the back garden. Bargain!

Fiz mocking “predictable” Tyrone – sneering that she knows where he is every minute of every day… Well, it’s an improvement on that time when she didn’t know he was in bed with Gemma!
