Kat & Phil: might love be in the air?
IT LOOKS AS THOUGH SHARON’S HEADING FOR HEARTACHE…
Sharon’s hopes of a romantic reunion with ex-husband Phil are shot to pieces this week – thanks to Kat! Nobody knows the explosive secret about Kat and Phil’s shock affair, with both of them intent on keeping it a secret. However, while Kat is trying to play it cool by telling Phil she’s not bothered if he sees Sharon or not, it looks as if the Mitchell hard man wants to be a one-woman man.
“It seems that hate has turned to passion for Kat and Phil – sparks are flying!” gasps our Walford gossip. “Sharon’s always been Phil’s true love, but even she can’t distract him from pursuing things with Kat. Poor Sharon ends up with egg on her face when she asks him if they can get back together, and he turns her down.”
Before Sharon tries to win Phil back, Kat’s already proved her gangster’s moll credentials to impressed Phil. Thanks to Mo, Kat finds out that Kheerat and the Panesar family are trying to poach one of Phil’s clients, and gives him intel ahead of a meeting. Because of her quick thinking, Phil is able to make his advantage pay off and offers Kat his thanks. However, instead of admitting she did it because she likes him, Kat gets funny about the Sharon situation and stalks off.
Sharon can’t be blamed for thinking she stood a chance with Phil – after all he was willing to kill for her recently! When Kat hears through the grapevine that the former couple are meeting up, she presumes Phil will put a stop to her fling with him right away. But he surprises her when he tells Kat that there’s no going back for him and Sharon. Yet in true Phil fashion, moments after this significant moment in their blossoming relationship, he manages to blow it…
“Ben almost catches them so Phil has to pretend he feels nothing but contempt for Kat,” shares our insider. “Kat makes a sharp exit, but she can still hear them when Ben makes a disparaging comment about her and Phil agrees. She’s gutted, mortified and furious – which is not a good combination!”
Phil had no choice but to cover his tracks with his son, because he doesn’t want anyone to know what’s happening, particularly given the volatile situation with Sharon. Still, it looks as if Phil might have gone from having two women after him to none. Will Kat decide to give him a second chance?
