Hi, Alexander! What do fans make of Jamie’s treatment of Gabby?
I haven’t looked online, but I imagine people aren’t happy he’s trying to get a child terminated! I think people will side with Gabby, even though her behaviour is a bit cloak-anddagger too. There has to be a comeuppance for him.
Do you prefer playing Jamie’s dark side, or the nice stuff with Dawn?
I like playing the bad guy, it’s more fun! That being said, it can get frustrating to be a bad guy all the time. However, when it comes to what I prefer playing, it has to be the meaner aspects of him.
Are you enjoying working with the actresses playing Jamie’s two love interests – Rosie Bentham (Gabby) and Olivia Bromley (Dawn)? Oh, it’s great! They’re both incredible actors. At the moment, due to Covid, a lot of the scenes we’re filming are longer than usual, so we’re really getting the chance to get into them together – it’s really nice to get some new meaty scenes. Also, it’s been lovely filming in different locations, I’ve been working in Woodbine cottage, which is nice. So yeah, it’s been wonderful. I’m not sure what Rosie and Dawn will say about me, but I’ve had a good time.
What do you think Jamie should do? Facing your mistakes is definitely the right thing to do, it’s his own fault for getting into this! However, he could stand by Gabby and this child and be with Dawn. With Dawn accepting it, that could actually be a potentially peaceful solution. It doesn’t need to cause a rift.
Are you looking forward to seeing how it plays out? I’m really excited to see where it goes, especially with the Gabby pregnancy dynamic. It’s something that I haven’t seen done in this way yet. I think it’s a brilliant storyline.
