Bailey suffers new heartbreak
POOR OLD BRONSON IS GOING TO THE BIG KENNEL IN THE SKY...
Bailey is left struggling with her grief this week, as she prepares to spend another Mother’s Day without her late mum, Dinah, just as the Taylors are about to lose another member of the family – their dog, Bronson!
While on his date with Lola, teacher Isaac spots downbeat Bailey and wonders why she seems so upset. When Isaac remembers that Mother’s Day is coming up, he realises that Bailey will be particularly missing her mum. In an attempt to make things better for Bailey, and to take her mind off things, Isaac encourages her to take part in the school science competition…
“Isaac believes that diving into schoolwork will keep Bailey distracted from everything else going on,” our Walford spy tells us. “Everyone in Albert Square knows the heartbreak Bailey went through with Dinah – and that Bailey was her mum’s carer before Dinah sadly took her own life two years ago. So, they all want to look out for her in every way they can.”
Later, Mitch, Karen and Isaac emerge from the school, triumphant with the news that Bailey has moved on to the next round of the competition. But as they head to the pub to celebrate, Bernie arrives and hits the family with some unexpected bad news – something’s happened to their beloved dog Bronson.
“Bernie tells them that their poor four-legged friend has to be put down,” sighs our sneak. “It’s a really hard hit for Bailey. Mitch, Karen, Isaac and Bernie band together to do their best to support her. With so much loss, can Bailey’s family help her look to a brighter future?”
