Hi Ethan! What is it about Ziggy that Tane likes so much? She’s a strong character, and she’s really straight-up – she’s not scared to put Tane in his place! But she also has a very caring, very nurturing side, and he feels good about himself when he’s around her.
Will Tane leave his criminal past behind for Ziggy? Absolutely, this is a massive turning point for him. He wants to look after her, and he’ll do whatever he can. He wants to put a stop to the illegal stuff and live a more legit life.
What will the Home and Away fans make of this romance?
I think people will initially be resistant, because they’re used to seeing Ziggy and Dean together. But change is good, and there are some really sweet moments between Tane and Ziggy. So, I hope the fans will see what a special relationship they could have.
What’s it been like filming steamy scenes with Sophie Dillman, who plays Ziggy? Is that strange, when her real-life boyfriend Paddy (O’Connor, aka Dean) is on set? It’s interesting, ha ha! No, Paddy’s been awesome – there’s been no dramas at all. Sophie and I always have a laugh on set, and we just want to do justice to the storyline.
We saw a sweet video of you reuniting with your daughter Aaylah recently, after Covid restrictions kept you apart. Is she a Home and Away fan? She used to watch it, but she’s stopped recently
– I was a little bit heartbroken about that! She’s 12, so she’s into stuff like Riverdale and Stranger Things. Maybe it’s best that she’s not watching Tane getting steamy with Ziggy, though…
