Abi and Debbie’s big fat row!
DEBBIE’S ATTEMPT AT FIXING THINGS BETWEEN THEM ENDS IN DISASTER…
Debbie offers an olive branch to future sister-in-law Abi this week – but the gesture ends up costing her a pretty penny!
With things still frosty between the women in the wake of Debbie’s lies over Ray, the new Bistro owner invites Abi and a few pals over to the restaurant to try on some wedding dresses. However, she soon ends up regretting her generosity…
“Playing dress-up with Debbie is the last thing Abi wants to do right now,” points out our cobbles spy. “She tries to paint on a smile and play nice, yet the get-together soon descends into chaos – leaving Debbie with a hefty wedding dress bill to pay!”
As the week kicks off, it appears that everyone else is more excited about Abi’s wedding than she is herself! Sally is over the moon for her best pal, and insists on helping Abi plan her big day – before appointing herself maid of honour.
Although Abi’s touched, she doesn’t want anything too big or fancy. But what she would like is for Sal to be a big part of the celebrations by conducting the ceremony, leaving the former mayor delighted.
Meanwhile, Debbie declares that she’s hired out some wedding dresses for Abi to try on, and will be providing drinks and nibbles for the bride-to-be and some of her closest gal pals. Abi’s far from thrilled about the invite, yet she reluctantly puts on the frocks and parades around in front of Sally, Debbie and Tracy…
The festivities spiral, though, as the women knock back the wine – and Abi finally snaps at Debbie, telling her that she doesn’t want her charity. Then, as the row between the pair escalates, Debbie ends up falling backwards on to a plate of food – completely ruining the £5,000 wedding dress that she’s wearing!
“The gown is stained with beetroot, so there’s no hope of getting it out,” notes our mole. “Tracy reckons she has the solution – and encourages Abi to chuck prosecco over the dirty mark! But sadly, that only makes matters worse…”
