SHE GOES INTO LABOUR IN THE SUPERMARKET...
Pregnant Grace is in for two big shocks at the supermarket this week – first, she’s detained by security, and then she goes into labour!
The mum-to-be pops into the store to buy supplies for the gender-reveal party that Ed’s hosting for them. She’s scandalised when, having paid for her items, she’s stopped by security on the way out and asked to show a receipt. Convinced that she’s being racially profiled, furious Grace loses her cool – but there’s bigger drama ahead…
“Security locks Grace in an office because she can’t find her receipt, then she has her first contraction!” reveals our Corrie insider. “It’s a nightmare because poor Grace is in agony while being held against her will, and she needs to convince the security guards to get her to hospital, but they aren’t exactly friendly. Nonetheless, this baby is on its way!”
It’s a race against time as Grace is finally taken to the hospital, and the shocked Baileys rush to be with her. Ronnie is disgusted by the treatment that she’s received at the hands of the security team, and accuses them of detaining her because she’s a woman of colour. So after Grace finally locates her receipt, Ronnie thrusts it at the security guard and abruptly tells him to do one!
Meanwhile, Michael and Grace are focused on the matter at hand – the birth of their little girl…
“It’s been such a rocky road for these two, but now their little bundle of joy is finally here,” shares our spy. “Baby Bailey is just divine, and her parents utterly adore her. Michael is so overwhelmed with love as he tells Grace that the past is behind them and they need to get ready for a happy future. It’s the three of them against the world!”
Sadly, however, the baby starts to have complications with her breathing, so the doctors whisk her off to be put on a ventilator. It’s a terrible shock to Grace and Michael: will their little one pull through?
