Kidnap hell for the Bay’s teens

Nikau, Bella, Chloe and Ryder are thrown into a van and kidnapped this week – but who is responsible, and what do they want with the Bay’s youngsters?

Prior to the kidnapping, Nikau and Bella decide they need to try to stop Chloe and Ryder from their constant arguing. So in an effort to bond the pair of them, Nikau and Bella reckon they should all take a fun trip to Yabbie Creek.

“Nikau hopes to find common ground between Ryder and Chloe,” explains Kawakawa Fox-Reo, who plays Nikau. “He has good relationships with both of them, but they bicker all the time, so he tries to fix it – and that’s when the kidnapping happens…”

Nikau and Bella are walking to the bus stop when a van stops beside them and bundles them inside! Chloe rushes to help with Ryder not far behind, but they’re abducted as well – and the van drives off into the night with all four of them…

“It happens so quickly!” says Courtney Miller, aka Bella, as she takes up the story. “Bella’s been through a lot, so she’s used to intense situations – but she’s as scared as the others.”

When they’re whisked away, the teens panic about how they’ll escape, and who is behind the wheel. Yet Nikau suspects that he knows the culprit, given that both of his uncles have recently been involved in criminal activity.

“Nikau has a few people in mind,” teases Kawakawa. “He just wants to keep his mates safe, though. Nikau’s scared, but is staying strong for them.”

Courtney and Kawakawa agree that the teens should be worried for their lives…

“For Nikau, it’s a life-or-death situation,” says Kawakawa. “He’s a family-orientated guy, and is willing to fight for that.”

“Bella is pretty terrified for Nik,” adds Courtney. “And it’s not long before they realise it’s all just one big ploy…”
