Michael’s paternity revealed!
IS ED OR RONNIE HIS BIOLOGICAL FATHER?
Michael decides to go ahead with the DNA test this week, to find out who his father is – but Ed believes that he might have already lost his son…
After a tough few days, Michael confides in his brother James that he secretly went ahead with the test to learn whether Ed or Ronnie is his father. Despite wanting to know the truth, when the results arrive, Michael loses his nerve.
“With Michael being so anxious, James offers to read the results for him,” reveals our Street spy. “It’s a monumental moment, and something that could change Michael’s life. Even if Ed does turn out to be his father, the fact that Ronnie could have been his dad isn’t something the Baileys will be able to put behind them easily.”
While viewers will have to wait and see what the result is, the boys soon tell Ed and Ronnie, leaving Ed feeling betrayed that Michael went behind his back for the test. Later, spiralling Ed decides not to go home, and tells Michael that he’s spending the night at the builders’ yard so he can catch up on paperwork. However, Seb later accidentally lets slip that Ed was elsewhere…
“Seb tells Michael that Ed was playing cards with him and Paul!” explains our sneak. “Michael is concerned that not only has Ed lied to him, but that he’s seemingly gambling again! Rather than giving Ed the benefit of the doubt, Michael accuses his dad of getting back into his dangerous old habits – leading Ed to hit back…”

Ed admits to Michael that the only reason he stayed out was because he didn’t want to come home to tension. Michael is filled with guilt, yet can’t help but worry about Ed. To make matters worse, Michael and James later find out from Aggie that Ed has taken out £1,000 from their bank account!
Michael and James search local bookies and casinos, believing Ed really has fallen off the wagon. Has the result of the DNA test pushed Ed back to his former addiction?
