Karl arrested for assaulting Olivia!
INJURED OLIVIA CLAIMS THAT HE PUSHED HER…
Karl is placed under arrest this week, when Olivia accuses him of purposefully shoving her down the stairs! Will Karl be able to prove that he’s innocent?
Following Olivia’s fall at the school which left her unconscious,
Karl is fiercely determined to right his wrongs. But when Olivia comes round at the hospital, she tells everyone that in fact she didn’t fall – Karl pushed her!
“Karl knows that he didn’t do what Olivia’s accusing him of – it’s one of the biggest shocks he’s ever received!” exclaims Alan Fletcher, who plays the Ramsay Street doctor. “Karl acknowledges that he was very angry with her, and it does look bad for him. At first, of course, Karl’s reaction is to be distressed, and tell Olivia that she can’t say this because it’s not fair. But Karl was screaming at her when she fell, and he needs to face that he was partly responsible for what happened.”
After Olivia points the finger at Karl, he tries to lay low and avoid her. However, wracked with guilt over arguing with Olivia about her new book before the fall, Karl decides to visit her. He tries to smooth things over with Olivia, and it doesn’t have the result he’s hoping for…
“This all actually makes it much worse for Karl!” reveals Alan. “Karl apologises for contributing to the accident, and Olivia thanks him. So Karl thinks it’s gone well, but then the police turn up! Olivia’s gone straight to them, and claimed that Karl’s basically admitted to pushing her.”
Later, Karl is utterly horrified when Levi arrives in the Kennedys’ back garden, and puts him in handcuffs!
“I suspect this is the first time Karl Kennedy’s been arrested,” laughs Alan. “He kind of just goes numb. It’s such a shock, he doesn’t know how to react to it, then they put the cuffs on him. Luckily, everyone in Karl’s immediate circle believes he’s innocent. But the one person who doesn’t is Karl himself – he feels that somewhere along the way he’s brought it upon himself, and he’ll just have to take whatever comes next.”
