MÉNAGE À TROIS?

-

EastEnders’ Avani has become one of my favourite characters in Walford! Her trying to reunite her mum and dad was so funny. But you have to feel for poor Martin! First Stacey cops off with Jack, and now he has to beat Ravi and his muscles for a chance with Priya. That bit where he thought he was about to get involved in a throuple was priceless!

| Jamie I’m still getting over their facial expressions!

I loved all the references back to the first time Mandy and Paddy got together back in the early 2000s – and now they’ve recreated it older, wiser, but their love as strong as ever. Gives hope to us oldies wishing for a second shot at love!

Finally Mandy and Paddy have put aside their petty squabbles to be together.

I understood her insecurity over Chas, but Paddy’s reassurance should have been enough – it’s obvious how much he loves her.

Mandy’s happiness shone through in her Cinderella dress, and I can’t wait to see her get married! I never bought Paddy and Chas together so I’m glad Emmerdale has put things right! I’d love to see Paddy be a stepdad to Vinny too and be one big happy family!

But some of you were feeling a bit more cynical about this love story…

Mandy and Paddy seem to have gone a bit silly and cartoonish in their old age. Both actors have been brilliant in more serious storylines, so I hope their future is more than just a comedy wedding.

| Fran, Newport

Sure they’re loved-up and engaged for now – but how long will it last, really? They’ve already failed once!

Is there such thing as a happy ending in soapland?
