Why Apple’s AirPods are worth the wait
Even though Apple has postponed the launch of its wireless AirPods, you should still hold off, argues Oscar Raymundo
Apple has officially postponed the launch of its truly wireless earbuds from late October to who knows when. Despite the delay, you should still hold off if you’re looking for a new pair of wireless earbuds. Thanks to a brand-new W1 chip, the AirPods sport longer-lasting battery life, improved wireless connection, and can pair seamlessly to a nearby iOS device. The AirPods even have special sensors built-in that can detect when you remove them from your ears so they can automatically pause the music. All these features alone makes them already superior to other truly wireless earbuds on the market right now. And on top of that, the £159 AirPods are actually more affordable. Most truly wireless earbuds will cost you at least £200, and their batteries don’t last as long.
