Four-goal Terry finds the target in cup rout

Eccles beat Trisports 9-1 in the JRB Roofing Challenge Cup Group A last Saturday.

Matt Terry helped himself to four goals, while Glen Moynes, Terry Green and Ricky Smith were also on target for Eccles.

Kye White netted the solitary reply for Trisports, who contributed two own goals to the Eccles tally.

Larkfield & New Hythe remain top of Division 1 after they beat Eccles Reserves 7-1.

Jordan Roberts opened the scoring and two goals from Sean Johnson made it 3-0 by half-time.

New signing Nathan Faulkes scored a second-half hat-trick and although Eccles did pull a goal back, Johnson completed his own treble to round things off.

Also in Division 1, second-placed Kings Hill Reserves were held to a 2-2 draw by Leybourne Athletic, who sit fourth.

Leybourne struck first but Kings Hill levelled things up just before half-time with a chip which just beat the goalkeeper.

James Wilkins fired in a free-kick from 25 yards to make it 2-1 after the interval but Leybourne fought back to salvage a draw.

Maidstone Athletic are fourth in Division 2 after they beat Ditton Minors 6-2.

Will Roffey, Martyn Coups and Jermaine Johnson gave Athletic a 3-0 lead before Ditton Minors pulled a goal back at the start of the second half.

Coups doubled his tally and Ditton responded again although an own goal restored Athletic’s three-goal advantage before substitute Besnik Spahui tapped in the eighth goal of the game.

Town Malling Club won 3-1 at Parkwood Jupitors and they have a six-point lead at the top. Sammy Swift scored for Parkwood but Town Malling’s clinical finishing was the difference.
