Their efforts raised £800 for Breakthrou­gh Breast Cancer. Annual quiz: It’s not too late to buy a ticket for the pre-christmas Quiz in Grafty Green Village Hall on Saturday, December 6 from 7pm. Tickets are on sale in the village shop at £8. Teams of five to eight. There will be a ploughman’s supper and a pay bar. Second book: More journeys through time, the second volume of the history of Boughton Malherbe will be launched in Grafty Green Village Hall on Friday, December 12. The events begins with welcome at 7pm followed by a talk from local historian Bronwen Sadler. Residents will be able to collect their free copies of the book (one per household) and extra copies will be on sale at £15. There will be time to circulate, talk and meet old friends.
