Youth round-up

APM Holtwood saw off Park Regis 2- 0 in a top-of-the-table clash in Express Cabs Maidstone League under-13 Division 1 on Sunday. Nathan Sandeman broke the deadlock, Michael Cross putting him through before he fired home. Sandeman also had a hand in the second as he flicked on a corner for Harry Bradford to guide home. APM defenders Oliver Nisbett and Jake Young and keeper Callum Foreman performed well as Park were kept at bay. APM Holtwood: Foreman, Cook, Murch, Cross, Nisbet, Young, Polom, Websper, Simmons, Sandeman, Bradford, Gabriel, Revell, Aston. Kings Hill under-14s recorded another clean sheet on the way to a deserved 3- 0 victory against Snodland. Mitch Conroy scored twice, one from the penalty spot with Ike Bignell scoring the second. Thomas Slade and Alex Hopkins shared the man-of-the-match honours. In their first game in four weeks, Bearsted under-16s beat Sittingbourne Lions 4- 0 in the Kent Cup second round. Martin Mwaungulu opened the scoring before the break when his header looped over the visiting keeper following Callum Maskell’s assist and he added his second after half-time after a fine pass from Chris Carcary. A pin-point Shobande corner was nodded home by the impressive Brandon Smith for 3- 0 before Mwaungulu and Carcary linked well to set up Maskell, who fired an unstoppable shot into the corner. Vinters Green edged a five-goal thriller against Borough Green Colts in Maidstone Minor League under-16 Division 2. Jake Smith kept his cool, rouding the keeper to score and, although Borough Green levelled 15 minutes later, good work on the left by Luul Mrach put Jamie Reumel through to make it 2-1. Borough Green were denied by Vinters keeper Olli Hamer but he was beaten to make it 2-2, only for Tom Clarke, who had earlier hit the post, to grab the winner. Vinters: Olli Hamer, Ben Gowers, Brandon Chirimuuta, Conal McDonough, DJ Spencer, Jamie Reumel, Joe Seaward, John Butler, Josh Solman, Tom Clarke, Luul Mrach, Jake Smith, David Eniolu, James Downard, Charlie Funnell. Man-of-the-match Jamie Tilston opened the scoring and went on to score four while Ben Pattenden was rewarded for his excellent efforts up front with two fine finishes. Hayden Roper scored his second goal of the season and it was left to Harry Whittington to open his account for the season with a strike from 30 yards to seal the win for MPE. Despite Headcorn improving after the break, Jake Dennis set-up Alex Pooley to fire a third on the break.
