A Maidstone construction company has become a key partner of a charity golf day and is now looking for players to get in the mix this May.

Gallagher Aggregates has joined the inaugural KM Charity Golf Challenge being held at Boughton Golf Club, near Faversham on Friday, May 20, and is on the lookout for pairs to pitch and putt for good causes.

Sean Connor, from the family firm, said: “It is a pleasure to be supporting this event in its introductory year. As a company founded upon quality of road safety and traffic calming measures, this is a foundation very close to our hearts. Gal- lagher are committed to working with charities supportive of the surrounding communities, and nothing is more important than assisting the development of our young people.”

Booking is now open for the Holiday Extras-partnered golf day and offers pairs breakfast on arrival, 18 holes of golf, followed by a two-course meal.

Individual prizes are available throughout the day including a putting contest and the chance to win a brand new Land Rover with the Hole in One challenge. An auction and raffle will also precede the day’s play.

Funds raised will help support the KM Charity Team’s edu- cational work in the county’s schools which provides children with vital road safety and literacy services.

Dominic Comins, events manager at the charity, said: “We are extremely excited for our very first golf day and look forward to welcoming players to Boughton.

“To have the support of the Gallagher group is very humbling as they share creative vision with our charity and the initiatives we are passionate about.”

The day will be scored via full Stableford handicap scoring and pairs are charged at £99.
