Team booking (eight adults) £120. Hospice recruitmen­t: Heart of Kent Hospice in Aylesford is hoping to recruit a further 200 volunteers for a wide variety of roles. It has patient-facing roles as well as positions with the catering, retail and administra­tion teams. If you have some spare time on your hands, are looking to update your CV, gain experience for university applicatio­ns or are simply looking for a rewarding experience and a chance to use your skills, then why not contact the hospice and find out how you could help. Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is a series of women-only events raising money for research into all 200 types of cancer. 10k is a step up from the 5k events and you can walk, run or charge your way around the course. Jogging 10k takes about an hour, but Race for Life is non-competitiv­e, so you can take as long as you like. No age restrictio­ns. Sign up at: raceforlif­e.org. The 18-month-old American bull dog cross is a loving and friendly girl who would fit in well with any family environmen­t, but preferably with children over the age of eight. has been extended to June 30 and judging will be on July 17. Picnic in the Park: The Big Musical Picnic is on Saturday, June 4 in Southons Field, from 2-8pm. There will be entertainm­ent by the Blues Brothers with full live band, the West Kent Big Band, fun and games, stalls and refreshmen­ts.
