Hunton Wanderers and Sheldwich managed 58 overs in their 1A Central match – more than anyone else locally – but still no result was possible. Alex Newman hit 70, including 11 boundaries, as Hunton, having been put in to bat, made 185-9. The visitors then raced to 150-3 in 18 overs, with Dan Ray 63 not out, before play ended early. Tuesday: Under-17 Division: Bearsted The 2C Central clash was reduced to 26 overs per side but only 15 were possible in the Gravesend reply before the players came off for the day with the scoreboard showing 59-3. In 1A Central, The Mote 3rds reduced Milstead to 99-7 with two wickets each for Jacob Taylor, Martin Prudence and Nathan Periera. Headcorn reached 50-3 at home to Sheppey in the same division before rain stopped play. A thundersto­rm cut short Holborough Anchorians 2nds’ home fixture against Sherwood in 1B Central with the visitors at 33-1, while only 14 balls were bowled in the 1A West fixture between New Ash Green and Leybourne. Leybourne were 5-1 when the players were forced off. Little play was possible in the Kent County Village League on Saturday. Bearsted travelled to Bidborough in Division 1 and the home side were 112-1 when heavy rain stopped play in the 17th over. Linton Park faced just seven deliveries before their Division 2 match at Meopham was called off with the score 4- 0. Marden were 29-1 at Shoreham when play was abandoned in Division 3, while four players had a bowl for Linton Park 2nds in Division 5 before the players came off with the visitors Meopham 2nds 75-1. Five bowlers picked up two wickets each for West Farleigh as they bowled Farningham out for 108 in Division 6. However, play was abandoned before Tom Williams’ side could start their run-chase.
