Aitken sets up Leeds’ win

Leeds & Broomfield piled on the runs in a Division 1 victory over Street End.

Max Aitken (80) and George Davis (74) helped Leeds to an imposing 40-over total of 307-7.

They won by 124 runs, with 10-man Street End all out for 183 in 29 overs.

In Division 2, Linton Park beat Woodchurch by 21 runs.

James Piper made 52 in Linton’s total of 188-7. Jordan Austin (3-32) broke an opening stand of 60 as Woodchurch reached 167-9 in reply.

Six Detling batsmen made ducks in a total of 118 all out against Tyler Hill.

Luke Garety (3-31) had Hill in trouble at 20-4 but the hosts won by five wickets.

An unbroken century stand for the seventh wicket proved in vain for Bearsted. Yannick Oakland (66 not out) and David Patton (54 not out) led them from 54-6 to 165-6 in their Division 3 game against Selsted.

But the visitors replied with a century partnershi­p of their own in a seven-wicket victory.

Josh Weller was run out 12 runs short of a ton in Addington Village’s 27-run success over Holcombe & Blue Bell Hill.

Weller’s 88 and 42 not out from Tim Dibble led their side to 191-5.

Chris Rolfe (4-28) and Harry Grinstead (325) did the damage as Ho l c omb e were bowled out for 164. Hunton Wanderers remain second in Division 4 despite losing to promotion rivals Saltwood.

Mike Bassam (3-50) was the leading bowler as Saltwood were dismissed for 189.

Captain Dan Taylor made 75 but Hunton slipped to 112 all out in reply, beaten by 77 runs.

Harrietsha­m claimed their first win of the season at the sixth attempt. Balakrishn­an Balagopal (49) and Gokul Raj (47) set up a score of 230-9 against Teston. Raj went on to take 4-26 as Teston were held to 186-8, Harrietsha­m winners by 44 runs.

Kings Hill lost top spot in Division 5 after a 126-run defeat by High Halstow (196-8).

Bottom side Linton Park 2nds suffered a fourth defeat in six games, going down to St Nicholas (227-4) by 84 runs. Park reached 143-9 in reply.

Loose & Leeds remain winless in Division 6.

They dug in against Holborough Anchorians 2nds, Andrew Harris (5) surviving 50 balls and Simon Lander (8 not out) 41 balls in a total of 65. Quintin Joubert took 4-23 but Anchs won by five wickets.
