Gittings hits best to finish in a hurry

Former captain Tom Gittings hit his best score of the season in Offham’s win over Westgate.
Opener Gittings finished on 75 not out from 69 balls, including eight fours and three sixes, as the hosts completed a nine-wicket victory.
Earlier, Nigel Stoodley, Andy Cox and Sam Ward took three wickets apiece, with Westgate 133 all out.
Gary Evans (35) was the only man to fall in reply as Offham moved up to sixth place in Division 4.
Addington, missing last week’s 9-18 star Chris Beaty, lost to Bexleyheath by 66 runs.
Chris Rolfe stepped up in Beaty’s absence, taking 5-41 as Bexleyheath were bowled out for 183.
Addington slipped to 5-2 in reply and while Harry Grinstead (39) and Robin Dooley (29) led a recovery, they were all out for 117.
Leeds & Broomfield dropped to fourth in Division 3 after a five-wicket defeat at Chestfield.
Max Aitken top-scored with 85 in Leeds’ total of 225.
Three Chestfield batsmen passed 50 as the hosts won with seven overs to spare.
