Fisher strikes early on

Headcorn bowlers did the business in a big victory over Gore Court 3rds last Saturday.

Andrew Fisher (4-17) and Andy Underdown (1-17) struck to leave Court 0-2 and 2-3 in reply to 204-4.

Wickets continued to fall with the hosts 19-5 before limping to 83 all out.

Rob Mansell (2-26) and Barry Curtis (2-19) also chipped in as thirdplace­d Headcorn won the Division 1A Central game by 121 runs.

Struggling Hunton Wanderers lost to Holcombe & Blue Bell Hill by six wickets. Opener Jake Crouch (53) scored more than half their runs as Wanderers were bowled out for 101.

Jack Hart (2-37) and Stuart Slaughter (2-39) shared the four Holcombe wickets.

The Mote 3rds lost to Bobbing Court & Lower Halstow by 105 runs.

Two late wickets boosted Conor Davis’ figures to 4-16 as Bobbing closed on 223-9. The Mote were 118 all out in reply, Mark Bristow (41) top-scoring.

Jake Bacon impressed with bat and ball as Leybourne moved off the foot of Division 1A West. Bacon contribute­d 45 to a total of 162-9 in 32 overs against Snodland Community.

He followed up with 4-19 from eight overs as Snodland slipped to 100 all out, Leybourne winners by 62 runs and up to second-bottom.

Sandev Landa bowled Holborough Anchorians 2nds to victory over Bapchild in Division 1B Central.

Landa wiped out the top five on his way to figures of 6-7 as Bapchild were dismissed for 72 in reply to 1498.

Anchorians, whose innings centred on 84 not out from Naveed Khan, won by 77 runs.

Hollingbou­rne’s Premier Division game at Mersham and Staplehurs­t’s Championsh­ip East clash with Sherwood were abandoned without play.

James Longhurst finished seven runs short of a century for Leeds & Broomfield 2nds in Division 2A East.

His unbeaten 93 plus 51 from Daren Hunt saw Leeds to 201-6 against Borstal.

Longhurst also starred with the ball, taking 4-36 as Borstal collapsed to 112 all out, Leeds winners by 89 runs.

Rumwood beat Milstead 2nds by one run in an exciting Division 2B Central game.

Peter Kenward (75 not out) led Rumwood to 127-9 as wickets fell around him.

Jordan Austin (3-7) was the key bowler as 10-man Milstead were dismissed for 126.

The Mote 4ths were 24-0 chasing Gravesend’s 148 when rain stopped play.

No play was possible in the match between leaders Staplehurs­t 2nds and Lordswood 4ths.

Yalding, leaders in Division 2C Central, won a close game against Hunton Wanderers 2nds.

Captain James Fenn hit seven fours and two sixes in a knock of 65 as Yalding made 147.

Openers James Kidner (27) and Andy White (24) set up the chase but the reply fell six runs short, Josh Gregory with 4-26 as Hunton were bowled out for 141.

Holborough Anchorians 3rds won a low-scoring game against Holmesdale.

Holmesdale managed only Bijebdra Roka claiming 3-14.

Anchs also struggled with the bat before completing a four-wicket success. 76,
