Lottery bid ideas please
Maidstone Borough Council is asking people for ideas for a bid for Heritage Lottery funding to revive an historic part of the town centre.
The council is leading a group of residents and traders looking to apply for a grant to reveal the hidden past of Gabriel’s Hill and Lower Stone Street. The streets are among the oldest in Maidstone.
The proposal could see the town secure up to £2m.
A short questionnaire asks for details on your links to the town, feelings towards the area and how the money should be spent.
The council will submit its bid in August, with a decision due in January 2017.
