Victims attacked in break-in

Six men broke into a property in Harrietsham and assaulted a person inside during a burglary gone wrong.

Police are now looking for the suspects who committed the crime at 5.15pm on Thursday last week before driving away from the home.

The six- strong group are reported to have left in a silver vehicle, leaving their victim with minor cuts and bruises.

A police spokesman said: “The occupants of the property were inside at the time and an assault is reported to have taken place, however, no one sustained injuries that required medical treatment.

“No items have been reported stolen.” A police spokesman said no one has been arrested in connection and confirmed inquiries were still ongoing.
