Thugs face jail for alley attack

-

Two thugs have been warned they face jail for a brutal attack on a man as he walked away from a nightclub in Maidstone.

Zak Burniston-Jones was left with a fractured skull and other injuries after he was followed up an alleyway by Jordan Sills and Oliver Bloomsmar, both 25.

Maidstone Crown Court heard the victim had gone into the town with friends in July 2014, ending up in Strawberry Moons on Gabriel’s Hill.

Mr Burniston-Jones was asked to leave the club and got into a row with Sills and Bloomsmar.

He was walking home when he felt a blow to the back of his head, followed by punches and kicks.

The court heard the victim had been going out with a woman who became pregnant after a one-night stand with Bloomsmar.

Sills, of Bates Farm, Swan Street, Wittersham, and Bloomsmar, of Jubilee Field, Wittersham, admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm shortly before they were due to stand trial.

Sentencing is scheduled for after August 22.
