Recognition for Ofsted reports

-

Schools from across the county have been recognised for strong Ofsted reports at an awards ceremony.

They were invited to the Kent County Council (KCC) event at Maidstone’s Mercure Hotel.

Attending were representatives from Brookfield Infant School in Aylesford, rated ‘outstanding’, and Hadlow primary, Senacre Wood primary and Tiger Primary, both in Maidstone, and Marden primary, which all received ‘good’ grades from the education watchdog.

They were given certificates of appreciation from Roger Gough, the KCC cabinet member for education, and Patrick Leeson, the council’s corporate director.

Mr Gough said: “Your schools are great examples of what can be achieved with the right leadership from yourselves and the continued commitment of your staff.”

Mr Leeson added: “Every child deserves a good education and we want Kent to be the best place in England for them to be educated.”

Pauline Woods, head teacher at Brookfield Infant School, was keen to praise her staff, saying that “one person’s success is everyone’s success”.
