Tickled pink – and for charity

-

Thousands of women turned Mote Park pink for the annual Race For Life event.

Competitors dug out their tutus, angel wings and feather boas as they tackled three different courses over the weekend of July 11 and 12. Saturday saw crowds of enthusiastic women set out on the 5k and 10k routes, while participants on Sunday weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty as they set out on the Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course.

The challenges, which have been running in the popular town centre park in Mote Avenue, Maidstone, for several years, raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Eager runners wanting to take part in next year’s event can save £4.99 off their entrance fee by buying tickets at bit.ly/earlyrfl
