“Callum’s a good player and a good lad but the others are ahead of him.

“His attitude’s been good. He’s said ‘I want to try and prove you wrong’ and I like that.

“I’d much rather he said that than giving up. We worked hard to get him in but sometimes it doesn’t quite work out.

“That’s the feeling I’ve got and I don’t want to take someone all over the country to sit on the bench or in the stand, which is why I’ve told him it might be best he finds somewhere else.

“We’re waiting on one more club but if nothing happens we’ll have a training game instead and go strong at Leatherhead and Faversham.”
