Car show: Classic Cars and Retro Vintage takes place on Bearsted Green on Sunday July 31 from 10am-6pm. Up to 200 classic cars will be on display and will raise money for The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance. The Air Ambulance Service hopes to make a low fly-past during the day, operations permitting. Free entry for spectators. If cars aren’t your passion, the Retro Vintage theme includes stalls selling vintage clothing, accessories and jewellery. If you’re feeling energetic, you might even like to dance along with the Medway Lindy Hoppers who will be performing throughout the day. Refreshments will be available including a BBQ provided by the Scouts. Free batteries and hearing aids cleaned and re-tubed. Bearsted and Thurnham WI: This WI will meet at the WI Hall in The Street on Wednesday July 27 at 7.30pm. Bible thoughts: Maidstone Christadelphians will be looking at Proverbs: Plans Prorities and Desires at Madginford Hall on Sunday July 24. Cricket fixtures: The 1st XI will play Sissinghurst in a home league match on Saturday July 23 at 1.30pm and at the same time, the 2nd XI will play Kilndown and Lamberhurst in an away league match. The Sunday XI will play Great Chart in a home friendly match on July 24 at 2pm.
