Correspondent: Ron Stubbs Tel: 01622 726962 Praise be: Lift up your hearts in praise, a relaxed service consisting of contemporary sung worship, prayer and a short reflection. All will be crammed into one hour starting at 6pm on Sunday, July 31 in St Margaret’s. You’ve got to laugh: There is an unusual comedy film lined up for showing on Saturday, August 20 at St Margaret’s, with doors opening at 6.45pm for a 7pm sharp start. So go and take a pew; there will be an interval in which refreshments will be available or take your own if you wish. No charge but donations to church funds will be welcome. Men’s breakfast: Bacon/sausage butties with a continental option will be offered on Saturday, September 9 in the Rectory. It sounds a long way off but these occasions are popular and so it is advisable to reserve a place as soon as possible. The breakfast will be from 8.30am-9.30pa m followed by a half-hour talk by the Rev Matthew Buchan concerning his experiences as an auxiliary RAF chaplain. A £2 donation on the day is suggested. Call Wil on 01622 726263 or email revwilnorth@hotmail.co.uk if you intend to be there.
