They put back-to-back Division 1 defeats behind them with Matt White scoring 101 and Chris Back 70 in a 79-run victory over HSBC last Saturday.
The Mote are 10 points off the promotion places in fourth and face leaders Canterbury tomorrow (Saturday).
Captain Fordham said: “We bounced back after two disappointing results but we’ve left ourselves plenty to do.
“We probably need to win three out of three to go up.
“We’re playing the three sides above us so we have our work cut out but we can still do it. It might not be a bad time to play Canterbury.
“It looks like they’re going to win the league but they’ve had a wobble and we’ve only lost once at home.”

Fordham said: “Matt’s scored two hundreds in the last month. He sets his stall out to bat through and it was another good knock.
“Chris Back batted well in the middle order, too. We felt confident 270 would be enough.
“Glen doesn’t get the plaudits he deserves. He’s easily been our best bowler this season.
“He’s mid- 40s now but when you put the ball on the spot, it doesn’t matter how old you are.”

Addington suffered a big defeat in Division 4, going down by 237 runs.
Two Blackheath batsmen hit centuries in a total of 369-7, Steve Meralls taking 4-90 but going at 10 an over.
Addington were all out for 132 in reply.
