KENT COUNTY VILLAGE LEAGUE Division 1: Bidborough v Sissinghur­st, Outwood v Four Elms, Penshurst Park v Bearsted, Plaxtol v Flimwell, Shipbourne v Horsmonden. Two Detling players scored unbeaten centuries in their Division 2 victory over Challock.

Luke Garety finished on 129 and Darren McGrath 112 as Detling made 281- 4 in 40 overs. They bowled out Challock for 157, to win by 124 runs.

James Piper’s century for Linton Park proved in vain.

He made 121 as Park closed on 214-2 but Leybourne won by seven wickets, thanks to unbeaten knocks from Tim Cotton (88) and Matt Pearce (61).

Neil Dibben’s century went without reward as Leeds & Broomfield lost a high-scoring Division 1 game at Sheldwich.

He scored 115 while George Davis added 72 as Leeds reached 272-8 in reply to 366- 4, beaten by 94 runs.

In Division 3, Staplehurs­t beat Addington Village by six wickets.

Captain Alex Rolfe made 60 as the Villagers closed on 132- 6. Martin Christophe­rson (57 not out) saw Staplehurs­t home.

Bearsted completed a twowicket victory over Borden with three balls to spare. Set 203 for victory, Charlie Luxton (46) led the way.

Town Malling fell short against Pluckley. They closed on 189-8 in reply to 238-3, losing by 49 runs.

In Division 4, Teston suffered an eight-wicket defeat by Exiles at Stelling Minnis after struggling Division 2: Hadlow v Leigh, Ightham v Linton Park, Meopham v Cudham Wyse, Speldhurst v Underriver, Withyham v Locksbotto­m. Asim Yousaf took 3-8 in four overs as Blue House were bowled out for 118. Captain Rod Martenstyn (44) laid the platform for victory.

David Brown scored 111, with 13 fours and seven sixes, in Hunton Wanderers’ big victory over Norton Sports.

Hunton closed on 282- 6 and won by 180 runs, with Norton 102 all out.

Thomas McGeorge fell seven runs short of a century as Kings Hill beat Great Chart by 146 runs in Division 5. Skipper Graham Hutchins added 85, with the leaders 306- 4.

Ben Jackson and Nick Cunningham took three wickets each as Great Chart were bowled out for 160.

Laurie Probert made 74 to help Linton Park 2nds beat High Halstow. They won by 28 runs, closing on 193-5 before holding Halstow to 165-9.

Giles Davey became the second Loose & Leeds player in as many weeks to make a century but they remain winless in Division 6.

Davey hit 101 not out from 94 balls, including 13 fours and three sixes, against Kennington but Loose lost by 53 runs, reaching 210- 4 in reply to 263-5.
