Hearing over motorcycle crash death

The inquest into the death of a West Farleigh man in a motorbike accident has been opened and adjourned.

Ian Hodgson died on the A228 Branbridge­s Road near the Hop Farm on Sunday, August 7, after his sports bike crashed just after 7pm.

The 46-year-old dad-of-two was pronounced dead at the scene.

Coroner’s officers will review the case in October. A preinquest review will then be held to set the scope of the investigat­ion.

In the meantime, a celebratio­n of Mr Hodgson’s life will take place on Tuesday, August 30, at Vinters Park Crematoriu­m.
