HUSBAND’S HOPE

-

It took more than a year and three coroner’s hearings for Dr Oladapo Babatola and his family to find a measure of peace.

Despite King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust’s failings, exposed during proceedings, Dr Babatola said he was not angry.

The father-of-three said: “We cannot undo what has been done. But I hope this will stop anything like this from happening again.

“At last there is closure but what has happened has not been forgotten. She was my wife and I still love her dearly. It is a very big loss and I cannot explain what it means.

“Vivienne turned one a month ago. Of course she won’t know her mother, but there are pictures around the house we will show her. She will know her face.

“My wife will be missed, it still is a pain we all share.”
