Crash helpers were all so kind
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to passers-by who helped me and my family after we suffered a car accident at Bedgebury, near Goudhurst, earlier this month.
My wife and I were travelling westwards with our two sons, on the B2079 (also known as the Bedgebury Road/Lady Oak Lane). At a particularly narrow point close to the Bedgebury Pinetum we collided, virtually head-on, with another vehicle.
We were extremely fortunate in that one of the first people on the scene was a trained first-aider, Caroline.
Caroline, with her experience, empathy and excellent manner, was a great help and comfort to my wife, Susie, who suffered shock, bruising and whiplash. (Caroline later left without my having a chance to say goodbye or get her surname).
Brian from Marydays in Goudhurst was also most helpful, and several other people offered assistance and water (it was a very hot day).
Nor can I speak highly enough of the emergency services. PC Mark Harris was extremely professional but also hugely attentive,
